Ironman 2022 training continues

Ironman Ari Jurvanen’s triathlon race day on June 12 was the first of the season in Finland. “Now that the long summer days are here, triathlon training is more fun — an ideal complement to hard work with the AFT team at the Varkaus factory.”

At this FIN national championship event in Vantaa, Finland, Ari competed in the 750 m swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run.  

He finished in 5th place in his age group. Says Ari, “This is a good performance for me, as strength in longer distances is the crucial goal to prepare for the Ironman competition in Hawaii this October.

Ari’s next race will be in Lahti in July -- a half Ironman event. Let Ari know that you are keeping up with his progress. Let’s all cheer him on!
