Routine maintenance of a rotating assembly drive system, such as found with a pressure screen, is essential to avoid unplanned down time - and shaft inspections are critical to this process. The failure of a shaft or bearings can cause further catastrophic damage to the screening unit, especially the internal rotor and screen cylinder.
